WHAT IS MINI RANGERS?
Leighton Park Rangers F.C’s Mini Football program, ‘Mini Rangers’, is a great way to introduce children to football in a fun and safe learning environment. Boys and Girls participate in fun sessions ran by experienced FA Qualified, Emergency First Aid Training and CBS Checked coaches.

WHERE AND WHEN IS IT?
We train on Sundays 9-10am at The Vynes playing fields in Leighton Buzzard – to book your free session please see below.Â

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

1. HEALTH
Beginning involvement in youth sports at an early age is a great way to start healthy participation in outdoor activity.
Kids who play sports have lower body fat, stronger muscles and bones, and increased cardiovascular fitness. And they can create a foundation for a healthy lifestyle.

2. MEET NEW FRIENDS
For many kids, playing sports is a great way to make new friends. Participating on a team can give your children a chance to get to know others in their community, school, and local area. Mini Rangers can witness the value of volunteering service first-hand. They can understand what it means to be a positive community contributor.

3. ACADEMIC POTENTIAL
Many young people who pursue sports have a strong self-concept and are goal driven. These positive qualities can carry over into the classroom. Numerous studies have found a link between youth sports and academic success.

4. OVERCOME CHALLENGES
The benefits of youth sports participation extend beyond the pitch. Through playing sports, children can learn to make quick decisions and work as a team.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
YOUR FIRST TWO SESSIONS ARE FREE. We then ask for a fee for the season of ÂŁ80 which covers your insurance, all coaching and your Mini Rangers Match Shirt.Â
WHAT WILL THEY LEARN?
Our Mini’s will be supported to; learn ball skills, take an active part in games, play as a team, understand the laws, develop their skills, develop their fitness and most importantly.. have fun!
Because we are a club we also have the opportunity for our players to develop through to forming a team that plays in league matches at U7s. We can then support teams all the way through to U18s football.Â
HOW DO YOU MAINTAIN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT?
All our coaches are CBS checked, have completed child welfare courses and are emergency first aid trained. Sessions are also supported by the Leighton Park Rangers Welfare Officers with links to Beds FA Welfare.
At this age parents must stay to watch their child’s participation.
WHO RUNS THE SESSIONS?
Our Mini’s coach is Luke Ellis who is FA Emergency Aid Trained, has completed the FA Safeguarding for Children course and is DBS checked.Â

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
The team is fantastically well run, with Richard managing and Paul, Darren and Steve supporting him.
The ethos is about playing correctly and not winning at all costs.
Couldn’t be happier with the set up
It was lovely to be able to tell the mum of a new to the club boy in the other team how encouraging and dedicated Sharks coaches are. The boys are lucky to have you Adam and Rich. Thanks for all you do.
