CLUB STATEMENT ON THE RETURN TO TRAINING
Following the Governments’ announcements, guidance issued by Beds FA and a committee meeting, Leighton Park Rangers will be running a pilot restricted training session next week. As always the safety and well-being of our players, parents/carers, coaches and the wider community are of paramount importance to the club.
We have observed a number of other clubs returning to training and attended several on-line Beds FA meetings and we have created a set of criteria that will be followed during the pilot training session to ensure we are following government and FA guidelines and remaining safe.
You can view a copy of these guidelines by clicking here.Â
Along with these guidelines we have produced a risk assessment, procured sanitising equipment for the team, sent out on-line consent forms to the parents of players wishing to take part and provided our coaches with training drills and protocols that meet the safety criteria.
This pilot session will be observed by members of the committee and a decision on further training sessions will be taken and communicated thereafter. Should the pilot session be successful we will extend training to some of the older age group teams who’s coaches, players and parents/carers wish to return to training. Likewise should any player, parent/carer or coach not wish to take part in training at this time the club will fully support that decision.
As always, if you have any questions please do contact the club or talk to your team manager.
