As per the recent Government announcement; from Saturday 29th December Central Bedfordshire and many of the surrounding areas will move into Tier 3 restrictions.
Outdoor training, leagues and competitions is allowed in Tier 3 areas. But we would ask you all to re-read the advice and closely follow the FA and Government guidelines….
We are very proud to be able to announce that Leighton Park Rangers has been awarded Charter Standard Development Club status.
The FA Charter Standard Programme recognises and rewards clubs that offer the highest standards of grassroots football for players and volunteers…..
We’re all very happy that grass roots sports have returned again today. As always the safety of our players, spectators, coaches, volunteers and the wider community is of paramount importance to LPR FC.
We have updated our policies, procedures and risk assessment in-line with the current government, FA and league guidance. You can find links to these below.
Once again we’d like to thank our parents, spectators and players for their cooperation with the current restrictions and we’d like to encourage you to remind yourselves of the procedures in place and the need to self-asses prior to coming to any session so that we can all continue to do our part to stay safe.
WELCOME TO THE U5 TIGERS & U6 EAGLES

This fantastic group will currently form 2 teams (The Tigers and the Eagles), but with the squad sizes could well be 4-5 teams next season.

On Monday 15th June 20 Leighton Park Rangers’ U12 Spitfires carried out a pilot training session in-line with current FA and Government guidelines. 3 committee members observed the session. The session split the players into two groups of 5 with one coach per group. There were more than two FA DBS checked adults in attendance. The session split the groups into two activities (fitness & agility / ball mastery), utilised player and coach stations, only included boot-to-ball play and observed social distancing at all times.
Following the Governments’ announcements, guidance issued by Beds FA and a committee meeting, Leighton Park Rangers will be running a pilot restricted training session next week. As always the safety and well-being of our players, parents/carers, coaches and the wider community are of paramount importance to the club.
Unfortunately we’ve had to take the decision to postpone presentation day.
Even if the lockdown is lifted by June we won’t have time for the preparations.
The plan is to arrange a new date at an appropriate time and we’ll keep you up to date.
Thanks for your understanding.
As you may have seen the FA has announced that the grassroots 2019/20 season is over.
Whilst we’re all disappointed to be missing out on our football this is a sensible decision given the circumstances and, as always, grassroots football must put the safety and wellbeing of players, families and the community first.
We’re monitoring the situation closely as a club and will make a decision on going ahead or postponing the Presentation Day and AGM when appropriate.
In the mean time we hope you’re all staying safe and well and we’ll look forward to next season where we should all be keepy uppy experts!
If there’s anyone that needs assistance with the current situation please contact the club and we will do what we can to help.
You can message us on here, call your team manager or email email@example.com
The club is about more than football, we are a community, a family, and we stick together in tough times.
Following the league and FA announcements on Cornoravirus the club is advising that all matches, including friendlies and training are suspended until further notice.
We feel that this is the responsible thing to do considering the nature of contact sports.
