On Monday 15th June 20 Leighton Park Rangers’ U12 Spitfires carried out a pilot training session in-line with current FA and Government guidelines. 3 committee members observed the session. The session split the players into two groups of 5 with one coach per group. There were more than two FA DBS checked adults in attendance. The session split the groups into two activities (fitness & agility / ball mastery), utilised player and coach stations, only included boot-to-ball play and observed social distancing at all times.
Following the Governments’ announcements, guidance issued by Beds FA and a committee meeting, Leighton Park Rangers will be running a pilot restricted training session next week. As always the safety and well-being of our players, parents/carers, coaches and the wider community are of paramount importance to the club.
Unfortunately we’ve had to take the decision to postpone presentation day.
Even if the lockdown is lifted by June we won’t have time for the preparations.
The plan is to arrange a new date at an appropriate time and we’ll keep you up to date.
Thanks for your understanding.
As you may have seen the FA has announced that the grassroots 2019/20 season is over.
Whilst we’re all disappointed to be missing out on our football this is a sensible decision given the circumstances and, as always, grassroots football must put the safety and wellbeing of players, families and the community first.
We’re monitoring the situation closely as a club and will make a decision on going ahead or postponing the Presentation Day and AGM when appropriate.
In the mean time we hope you’re all staying safe and well and we’ll look forward to next season where we should all be keepy uppy experts!
If there’s anyone that needs assistance with the current situation please contact the club and we will do what we can to help.
You can message us on here, call your team manager or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The club is about more than football, we are a community, a family, and we stick together in tough times.
Following the league and FA announcements on Cornoravirus the club is advising that all matches, including friendlies and training are suspended until further notice.
We feel that this is the responsible thing to do considering the nature of contact sports.
Race Night 2020 was a fantastic fun evening with 10 teams and 60 people competing for the cuveted LPR Quiz Cup.
Thank you to all those who attended and helped to organise another fun LPR event.
As always all the money raised from these events goes directly back to benefit LPR Players.
Well done to the winners The (absolute) Sharks!
We are delighted to welcome on board our new main sponsor for the club. The Roofing Centre based in Bletchley Milton Keynes has sponsored Leighton Park Rangers F.C. for the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.
This is a HUGE issue for grassroots sports in Leighton Buzzard.
The town is growing rapidly, there is a shortage of venues and costs of hiring 3G pitches is rapidly rising.
LPR Quiz Night 2020 will take place on Friday 28th Feb.
This is a fun general knowledge quiz for adults only.
Please submit your teams of 6 to your Managers.
£10 per ticket includes dinner on the night and the bar will be open.
As always, all proceeds go to providing an excellent football experience for our youth players.
We’re back! The 2019/20 season starts this weekend!
The 2018/19 Season may have finished a while ago, but Football never stops at Leighton Park Rangers. It’s been quite a summer for us, thank you to everybody who helped. The club continues to grow and evolve. As a result of the hard work from our Chairman, Committee Members Managers and Sponsors, we’ll be heading into the 2019/20 season with:
It’s something I used to do. Goal scoring would be rewarded with some pocket money and if we’d win an important match I’d take my son to McDonalds as a treat. I thought this worked well, my Son certainly seemed motivated by it and we had a great time celebrating success and naturally felt a bit disappointed when matches didn’t go our way.
Leighton Park Rangers has a new club badge.
The committee decided to update the clubs badge for a more modern look. The new logo is also more versatile and easier for printing.
All of the attendees of the AGM had the opportunity to vote from a range of concepts supplied.
We hope you like it!
Leighton Park Rangers F.C. grew from 7 to 9 teams in the 2018/19 season. For the 2019/20 season we will have grown to 12 team + the reintroduction of the Mini Rangers for players in pre-school and reception.
The club plans to continue to expand to provide a great youth football experience to more children in Leighton Buzzard and the surrounding areas. Here’s a little video we made of our story so far…
