Nick Pinder Winner at Beds FA Grassroots Awards

We are delighted to announce that Leighton Park Rangers F.C. Club Chairman Nick Pinder has been chosen as a winner of the Beds FA Grassroots volunteers awards 2021

Nick & Mandie Pinder have been volunteering as Chairman and Treasurer respectively of Leighton Park Rangers F.C. for nearly 10 years.
Having coached one of the original Girls teams Nick and Mandie have been running the club for about 8 years. Despite their children leaving the club to pursue higher education and careers, Nick and Mandie have continued to put huge amounts of time, passion and effort into the club – alongside their other voluntary work for organisations including the Sports Council.
Not only does this result in important health and social benefits to the children, the club’s philosophy that comes from Nick and Mandie for inclusiveness, respect and equality is incredibly important examples to set the youth of our community.
Nick and Mandie have inspired a raft of volunteers to help bring both a great sporting facility and an important ethos to local children. It’s incredible to see the impact of this work on children and families. Families brought together by training and matches, building children’s confidence and social skills, health benefits and friendships between children and parents being formed.
Without the devotion, commitment and positive message from people like Nick and Mandie our community’s young people and our town would be much poorer. Nick and Mandie have never sought to receive any public recognition for their voluntary work, but it’s great that it being recognised and celebrated by us and the FA.
Congratulations!
